He did it again...

Back in January Jared broke his scaphoid- a small bone in his wrist..
playing basketball if anyone is surprised..
I told him he needs to take playing sports down a notch.
So the beginning of February till June 2 he had his cast on. A little too long if you ask us. It's supposedly a slow bone to heal but after casting the entire thumb and a bone stimulator it finally healed! It seems that when I get pregnant Jared gets hurt :) With Hallee, was the knee blow out and now this one, his wrist. He will now be banned from playing sports when I get pregnant :)

1st day of his cast
for the 1st 2 weeks he had it all the way to his bicep

Being in the military he decided for camo cast for 2 weeks

then a black one
then after that we stopped taking pictures. He had it switched every 2-3 weeks for those months he had it one.
He was such a tropper.. he was still very helpful with Hallee! I only heard him complain a handful of times. He is now in a brace but can take it off throughout the day. We are hoping that he can play golf and basketball when we are in Utah.

Way Behind

There have been many reasons why I haven't been blogging lately..We only have 1 computer and Jared has been super busy with school and I'm very tired by the time I get to use the computer.  I hope I can be better from now on out. So I'll combine some things into one post.

My mom came out the end of April for a week. It was SO nice to have her here. Hallee loved having her here and followed her everywhere. We had a blast..we went to Annapolis, shopping, out to lunch & dinner, she watched Hallee for us so we could go out, we just had a blast! It was so hard to have her
leave. Hallee and I were both very sad!
She took us to dinner for our anniversary at the Outback

Cuddle time with grammy

She was always playing with grammy's stuff

Playing in a fort Jared made

After church
After my mom left we went to the Airplane Park with the Farnsworths. The park is awesome! The take off strip for the Reagan Airport is right there.  We enjoyed a picnic and watching planes take off. Hallee loves airplanes and loves to point them out in the sky. She was a little nervous because it's really loud but she loved watching them take off.

helping herself to the pasta salad :)

Hallee is also obsessed with baby Tolman. She loves to give him kisses. I'm hoping she likes her baby sister just as much.

I'm slow on updating because...

(this is how I told Jared...took him awhile to notice it)

We are very excited! So far I've been feeling ok.  I'm nauseous and exhausted, especially trying to keep up with little miss Hallee.

Here I am at 12 weeks.

17 weeks...having a feeling it's gonna be a boy

19 weeks

and below, here I am now at 20 weeks.
Today we found out that we are having.....
a baby girl!
We are so shocked! We thought for sure it was a boy..but we are so excited for Hallee to have a little sister!
Our next little missy will be here October 9th!

4 Year Anniversary

While his parents were here we celebrated our 4th year of being married. Wow does time fly! Jared had a full day of school so that night we went to the temple with his parents. Best way to spend our anniversary! We were able to do sealings, what a great reminder of what happened 4 years ago!

The beautiful sunset as we came out of the temple!
Pretty sad to admit this but this was our first time to the DC temple together since we moved here!

This past year has been crazy with moving across country and Jared starting medical school. We have definitely grown closer and our relationship is stronger!
We are hoping to get away for a night while we are in Utah this summer. I'm hoping my anxiety of leaving her will go away :)

Zoo

On Tuesday Jared was able to leave school a little early and we went to the Zoo. The DC Zoo is the best! It's free and the animals actually have huge exhibits with room to run around. They aren't in tiny little boxes like the Hogle Zoo. Halee loves all the animals so we will being going a lot!
Grandma and Hallee looking at the gorilla
Hallee is too busy looking at the elephants for a picture.

I love her face in this picture. We are in front of the Lion exhibit. There are a bunch of lion cubs that are adorable!

They were so fun to watch!

Independence Hall & Liberty Bell

Last week Jared's parents and Matthew came to stay with us for a week! They flew in late Friday night and stayed till the following Friday. It was a lot of fun to have them here.

Saturday we drove up to Philadelphia in the pouring rain. It took us a lot longer than we thought to get there but we were still made it in time for our tour of Independence Hall. It was cool to see where they signed the Declaration of Independence.

Hallee and Uncle Matt"chew" that what Hallee would call him. She loved him!
That chair behind us is the original chair from 1776

We then walked over the Liberty Bell. It was interesting to read all the facts about the bell. That  I didn't know about it.

It was a fun day it didn't stop raining until we pulled into our apartment. We were all soaked :) I'm glad we were able to see these historic places. It was a lot of time in the car and poor Hallee was not a happy camper!

Cherry Blossom Festival

Every year around the end of March beginning of April the Cherry Blossoms bloom. It was the last day of Jared's spring break so we decided to venture downtown. It was very cold and windy you can tell by our red noses. We started at the White House...

The trees were beautiful! You can see the Washington Memorial through the trees.

As you can tell its very windy :)

The Jefferson Memorial on the other side of the Potomac.
The cold weather definitely didn't stop other people from going. There were a lot of people there!

We walked the mall and then up to the Capitol.. definitely a lot of walking but totally worth seeing the pretty trees.  Hallee was such a good girl and fell asleep in the stroller!
