A Christmas Story

Being pregnant around Christmas time is a bit stressful. You just do not want a Christmas baby. So when my doctor offered to induce me on the 20th I just had the feeling to wait- everybody thought I was crazy.
So we went about our Christmas with the Roberts like it was any other Christmas. Christmas Eve I didn't sleep at all- I was up all night! Christmas Day I was having horrible contractions all day. We went and saw Invictus and by the time we got home I was in so much pain. I decided to get in the tub to see if that helped. Jared called labor & delivery to see what we should do. They told us if they got worse to come in. I only lasted five more minutes and we made our way. I called my sister who was in Cedar City for Christmas and my parents who were in Bear Lake and told them to head to the hospital.
We got to the hospital and I was dilated to a 6-when Monday I was only dilated to 3. I was admitted at 8:30 pm and I was determined to not have her on Christmas day. So nothing to help me quicken the labor-no breaking my water--not having it at all.
I received the epidural which made things so much more bearable.
They finally broke my water at 11 and I went from an 8 to a 10 in 30 minutes.
I started pushing at 1 a.m. and she arrived at 3:42 a.m. December 26th-right on her due date.
I was exhausted but so excited to see my little girl.
She was so perfect and cute.
And Jared was immediately wrapped around her little finger.

Jared gave the first bath. She was perfectly content being all cleaned up.

Hallee got all dressed up to go home.
We were so ready to be home.

On our way out of the hospital

Hallee is a very good baby.
She's so sweet.
I think I'll keep her.

We are very much in love with this little girl.

Nursery Pics

Thanks to my lovely sister who has helped me out so much these past 2 weeks the nursery is all done! She has done everything for me since she has been here which has been really nice. I definitely owe her for all she has done.

We are debating whether to hang the pictures with ribbon or leave them how they are..what do you think?

Last Saturday my mom, grama, and sister threw me a shower. It was so fun and the food was yummy. This baby has definitely been spoiled and she isn't even here yet. We have truly been blessed by family and friends.

Last Sunday we went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Broadcast it was awesome but the weather was horrible! Poor Jared is still on crutches hopefully on Monday when we go to the doctor he will tell us he can put some pressure on his leg.

My sister took this beautiful picture of the temple and the snow storm.

Finally my sister took some pictures of me at 38 weeks prego..
