I'm slow on updating because...

(this is how I told Jared...took him awhile to notice it)

We are very excited! So far I've been feeling ok.  I'm nauseous and exhausted, especially trying to keep up with little miss Hallee.

Here I am at 12 weeks.

Today we found out that we are having.....
a baby girl!
We are so shocked! We thought for sure it was a boy..but we are so excited for Hallee to have a little sister!
Our next little missy will be here October 9th!

4 Year Anniversary

While his parents were here we celebrated our 4th year of being married. Wow does time fly! Jared had a full day of school so that night we went to the temple with his parents. Best way to spend our anniversary! We were able to do sealings, what a great reminder of what happened 4 years ago!

The beautiful sunset as we came out of the temple!
Pretty sad to admit this but this was our first time to the DC temple together since we moved here!

This past year has been crazy with moving across country and Jared starting medical school. We have definitely grown closer and our relationship is stronger!
We are hoping to get away for a night while we are in Utah this summer. I'm hoping my anxiety of leaving her will go away :)

Zoo

On Tuesday Jared was able to leave school a little early and we went to the Zoo. The DC Zoo is the best! It's free and the animals actually have huge exhibits with room to run around. They aren't in tiny little boxes like the Hogle Zoo. Halee loves all the animals so we will being going a lot!
Grandma and Hallee looking at the gorilla
Hallee is too busy looking at the elephants for a picture.

I love her face in this picture. We are in front of the Lion exhibit. There are a bunch of lion cubs that are adorable!

They were so fun to watch!

Independence Hall & Liberty Bell

Last week Jared's parents and Matthew came to stay with us for a week! They flew in late Friday night and stayed till the following Friday. It was a lot of fun to have them here.

Saturday we drove up to Philadelphia in the pouring rain. It took us a lot longer than we thought to get there but we were still made it in time for our tour of Independence Hall. It was cool to see where they signed the Declaration of Independence.

Hallee and Uncle Matt"chew" that what Hallee would call him. She loved him!
That chair behind us is the original chair from 1776

We then walked over the Liberty Bell. It was interesting to read all the facts about the bell. That  I didn't know about it.

It was a fun day it didn't stop raining until we pulled into our apartment. We were all soaked :) I'm glad we were able to see these historic places. It was a lot of time in the car and poor Hallee was not a happy camper!

Cherry Blossom Festival

Every year around the end of March beginning of April the Cherry Blossoms bloom. It was the last day of Jared's spring break so we decided to venture downtown. It was very cold and windy you can tell by our red noses. We started at the White House...

The trees were beautiful! You can see the Washington Memorial through the trees.

As you can tell its very windy :)

The Jefferson Memorial on the other side of the Potomac.
The cold weather definitely didn't stop other people from going. There were a lot of people there!

We walked the mall and then up to the Capitol.. definitely a lot of walking but totally worth seeing the pretty trees.  Hallee was such a good girl and fell asleep in the stroller!

Spring Break

Two weeks ago Jared had spring break. It was SOOO nice! We started off with my birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was delicious but Hallee was a pill:) On Saturday we took off to Raleigh NC to spend time with my aunt, uncle and cousins. It was so nice to get away and spend a couple of days down there. We had a lot of fun playing games, shopping, going out to lunch, eating Tracy's delicious food, and playing at the park. The weather was so nice there. We came home Tuesday night and spent the rest of the time relaxing and spending some much needed time together! It was cold and rainy the whole rest of the break.
Miss Hallee at dinner

Every time she sees the camera she says "cheese"

We had my cake down in NC so we could share the delicious ice cream cake.

Jared built hallee a fort. We would tell her to go get in her house and she would play in there. It was so cute!
On Thursday we met up with the Sorenson's at Benihanna's for our birthday dinners since they give you 30 dollars off on your birthday..you should sign up. Even though I will say Tepanyaki is SO much better!!
We had one nice day once we got back so we took Hallee to the park. She LOVES the park. She is so brave and climbs up all by herself and goes down the slides! I guess her dad has taught her to have no fear. :) Good or bad thing not quite sure yet.

She can't get enough of the slides she says ma for more and signs more after every time. I can't wait for the weather to actually be nice for more than one day so we can get out of the house. There are so many parks around here!

We had a great Spring Break! We loved having Jared home all day. Hallee was so sad when he had to go back to school. We have 2 weeks in the summer to look forward to spending some more family time together before 2nd year starts back up.

I promise I will be better at blogging! The Cherry Blossom festival is next :)

12-13 months

Getting ready for church

She fell asleep while eating lunch. I just had to take a picture.

She loves when daddy comes home, he made her a fort one night and she ran back a forth for quite sometime.

Trying daddy's big boots on
I let her play with sugar free pudding on paper..lets just say it was EVERYWHERE! All that matters is that she had fun!
She loves feeding herself with a spoon or a fork. She is getting pretty good at it.
She looks like such a big girl in this picture. She is growing up WAY too fast
She loves to carry around Jared's scriptures!

She also loves playing with his phone

My mom gave her this cute Valentines dress. Once we got to church I realized she looked like Minnie Mouse :)

She has become quite the talker lately. Unfortunately she has learned the word No. We think its cute now but  I know that will come to an end. She loves to go outside and walk around. She will go to the door and say shoes, bye bye. Its been cold here lately so we haven't been able to outside. If you ask her a question she will answer NO most of the time but sometimes she will give you a Yeah. Whenever we are at stores she says Hi to everyone and bye bye. She has got quite the personality lately which we are in love with.
