Baltimore

The Sunday before we left Maryland, we decided to check out Baltimore. After church we drove down there. It was a hot, humid day but it was fun to look around.
It was fun to have my mom there for a short 2 days. She helped us clean our apartment! She was a lifesaver!

They had fun musical instruments for you to play. Hallee loved it.

We enjoyed the afternoon there, we decided to leave the same time the baseball game got over so we were stuck in traffic for FOREVER!! Baltimore was beautiful! I wish we would've gone down there more with the 2 years that we lived in Maryland.

Jared's 2nd year of Medical School

It's crazy to think that Jared has completed his 2nd year of school. His 2nd year was crazy busy. Not only was he in school 12 hours a day/5-6 days a week, he was the Weblos leader, Institute class president, stake auditor,  and was still a husband and father to his wife and kids. Even with everything he had to do he still found time to go on a couple man dates with his friend Chris. They went to the Brazil vs. USA soccer game. In the end he was able to manage it all well and finished his 2nd year with flying colors.

their original seats were "obstructed view" which meant they were directly behind a pillar. They ended up moving down and getting seats on the second row they were very lucky.

he spent more hours of the day at school then he did at home. This was his last day in the quiet zone, the day before he took Step 1.

I'm not sure how "quiet" it was in this area, with the 4 boys in that area there had to be some  goofing off.
Third year will bring lots of time in the hospital. He will be doing rotations for 6-12 weeks at a time. He will have tests and papers with each rotation. This will give him a taste of what it's like to be a doctor. We are so proud of him!!

Annapolis & Rehoboth beach house

After Jared finished up his 2nd year of school. We rented a beach house in Delaware for  the weekend. It was the best thing we could've done. It was so relaxing! The weather was perfect. We went down with the Sorensen's and Willardson's. The Farnsworth's met us at the beach for the day. The boys didn't study the whole weekend. It was awesome!
On our way to the beach we stopped by Annapolis. I love that place. It is so pretty!

The house was perfect. It had a covered deck. So we could eat outside and not have a million bugs. Our first night we had dinner and walked along the beach. Of course Jared had to jump in.
The water was freezing!!

walking on the beach at sunset, a storm was rolling in

One morning while Mckenna was napping, Hallee and Jared went exploring. There was a lake near by that they walked to.
Hallee took this picture of Jared :)

I'm so glad we were able to create more memories with such great friends! The kids played so well with each other. After the kids went to bed we sat around and talked the night away. It was the perfect trip!

Pictures of the Girls

Our really good friend Jenny took pictures of the girls for us before we left. Mckenna has yet to have any professional pictures taken of her so we thought 7 months would be a perfect age. We met up in downtown Kensington to take a few pictures.
Jared thought it would be fun to let Hallee play on the train tracks and get dirty before pictures..he obviously wasn't thinking :)

Mckenna was very excited about pictures

Mckenna is always getting compliments about her big blue eyes. My girls definitely have big blue eyes!
We got a few shots of Hallee, she didn't want to look at the camera

love this picture of her eating a sucker for being a good girl.

their favorite auntie who loves them dearly

I love these two more than words can describe! I'm so grateful I get be to their mom!

Easter 2012

These are the only pictures we have from Easter and they are all from Tara's phone. We took a bunch of pictures with our camera but Jared accidentally deleted them. I'm very bummed that we lost all the pictures of the girls. Hallee loved waking up to her basket from the easter bunny. Her favorite part was finding the eggs.

Matching dresses that my mom gave them.
I'm so glad we got a picture in front of our church with the pretty cherry blossoms.

we loved having auntie Tara around to celebrate with us

Basketball League

Jared played in basketball league through the military. He played with some other medical students that are second years. I would bring the girls with me and Hallee was pretty good just to sit and watch. She was a very good cheerleader!  Jared's team was a bunch of white, nerdy, med students. They were beating teams, to avoid being racist let's just say they were naturally more athletic.  I was a very proud wife. They were the regular season champions, but came up short in the tournament.  There were a few players including Jared who got to play in the All Star game.
After the all star game-the last game

this was her usual position

the all star team.
Of course Jared has to get hurt while playing basketball. He got a very bad hit to the eye which resulted in a black eye. He was very proud of it. Everyone joked saying that I hit him for never being home. I'm really glad Jared got to play in this league. He loves playing basketball and this will be the last time for awhile that he will be able to play in a league.

Stewarts come to DC

We were lucky enough to have Brad, Kimberly, and Luke come and visit us. It was fun to have them here and Hallee loved having Luke to play with. It was conference weekend so we tried to do as much as we could between each session. We started off Saturday morning at the zoo. The kids loved running around and seeing all the animals.

mckenna was such a good baby just hanging out in the stroller

climbing the robes above our heads, the kids loved it!

Sunday morning before conference started we headed to Arlington Cemetery. I really glad we got to go there. I have been wanting to go there, but didn't want to go by myself.

Tara went to a lot of work finding our Great Uncles grave. It was cool to see the grave and get a picture by it.

On Monday Brad and Kimberly took off downtown and I watched Luke. The kids had a lot of fun playing. Once they got home we took them to Brookside Gardens. It was the perfect time because all the tulips were in full bloom. It was so pretty. The kids had a great time running around.

Tuesday we went downtown and walked the monuments and checked out the Natural History Museum. The kids loved all the animals. It was a lot of fun to have them here! Hallee was so sad to have Luke leave.
